Ingredients

  • Button mushrooms - 200 grams
  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Honey - 1 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, cut into chunks
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden)

Steps

  1. Cut the firm tofu into 2 cm cubes and place them in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, and honey to create the marinade.
  3. Pour the marinade over the tofu and gently toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. While the tofu is marinating, clean the button mushrooms and cut the bell pepper into chunks.
  5. After marinating, add the mushrooms and bell pepper to the bowl with the tofu, and toss gently to coat everything with the marinade.
  6. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  7. Thread the marinated tofu, mushrooms, and bell pepper onto the skewers, alternating them for variety.
  8. Lightly dust the skewers with cornstarch to give them a crisp texture when grilled.
  9. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the vegetables are tender and the tofu is slightly golden.
  10. Remove from the grill, sprinkle with chopped green onions, and serve hot.
