- Button mushrooms - 200 grams
- Firm tofu - 200 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Honey - 1 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Bell pepper - 1 medium, cut into chunks
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden)
Steps
- Cut the firm tofu into 2 cm cubes and place them in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, and honey to create the marinade.
- Pour the marinade over the tofu and gently toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- While the tofu is marinating, clean the button mushrooms and cut the bell pepper into chunks.
- After marinating, add the mushrooms and bell pepper to the bowl with the tofu, and toss gently to coat everything with the marinade.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Thread the marinated tofu, mushrooms, and bell pepper onto the skewers, alternating them for variety.
- Lightly dust the skewers with cornstarch to give them a crisp texture when grilled.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the vegetables are tender and the tofu is slightly golden.
- Remove from the grill, sprinkle with chopped green onions, and serve hot.
