Ingredients
- Almond flour - 150 grams
- Psyllium husk - 10 grams
- Baking powder - 5 grams
- Salt - 2 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 100 grams
- Cream cheese - 50 grams
- Mushrooms, finely chopped - 100 grams
- Garlic, minced - 1 clove
- Soy sauce - 10 ml
- Green onions, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper - 1 gram
- Olive oil - 10 ml
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, psyllium husk, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, melt the mozzarella and cream cheese together in the microwave for about 30-40 seconds until soft and mix well.
- Add the egg to the cheese mixture and stir until combined, then gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, then add minced garlic and chopped mushrooms. Sauté until the mushrooms are soft, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in soy sauce, green onions, and black pepper, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and flatten each into a round disc.
- Place a spoonful of the mushroom filling in the center of each disc, fold the edges over, and pinch to seal. Shape into a ball.
- Place the bao on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
