- Pizza dough - 200 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Shredded carrots - 50 grams
- Shiitake mushrooms, sliced - 50 grams
- Green onions, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Eggs - 2 large
- Shredded mozzarella cheese - 100 grams
- Chinese five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh cilantro, chopped - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness, then transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add sesame oil and sauté the shiitake mushrooms until they are tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the shredded carrots and green onions to the skillet, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until softened.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs, then pour them into the skillet with the veggies. Scramble until the eggs are cooked through, about 2 minutes.
- Stir in soy sauce, five-spice powder, salt, and black pepper to the egg and vegetable mixture, cooking for another minute.
- Spread the scrambled mixture evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the Moo Shu mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh cilantro, slice, and serve hot.
