Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Shredded carrots - 50 grams
  • Shiitake mushrooms, sliced - 50 grams
  • Green onions, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Eggs - 2 large
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese - 100 grams
  • Chinese five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness, then transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add sesame oil and sauté the shiitake mushrooms until they are tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the shredded carrots and green onions to the skillet, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until softened.
  5. In a bowl, whisk the eggs, then pour them into the skillet with the veggies. Scramble until the eggs are cooked through, about 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in soy sauce, five-spice powder, salt, and black pepper to the egg and vegetable mixture, cooking for another minute.
  7. Spread the scrambled mixture evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the Moo Shu mixture.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  10. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh cilantro, slice, and serve hot.
