Ingredients

  • Lamb shoulder - 300 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
  • Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water if wooden)

Steps

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the lamb cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated, then cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours for more flavor).
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated lamb cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
