Ingredients
- Lamb shoulder - 400 grams, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
- Soy sauce - 30 ml
- Sesame oil - 15 ml
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tsp, grated
- Ground black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin - 1/2 tsp
- Paprika - 1/2 tsp
- Chili flakes - 1/4 tsp (optional)
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tbsp, chopped
- Lemon - 1, juiced
Steps
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, cumin, paprika, chili flakes, and lemon juice to create the marinade.
- Add the lamb cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for better flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Thread the marinated lamb onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and fresh cilantro before serving.
