Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (like cod or tilapia) - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
  • Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Celery, thinly sliced - 1/2 cup
  • Bell pepper, thinly sliced - 1/2 cup
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, lemon juice, red chili flakes, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Place the fish fillets in the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. While the grill is heating, prepare the vegetables by slicing the celery and bell pepper, and chop the green onions and cilantro.
  5. Once the grill is hot, place the marinated fish fillets on it. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. During the last few minutes of grilling, add the sliced celery and bell pepper to the grill to slightly char them.
  7. Remove the fish and vegetables from the grill and let them rest for a minute.
  8. Serve the grilled fish topped with chopped green onions and cilantro, alongside the grilled vegetables.
