Ingredients

  • 200g ground beef (lean)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 whole grain burger buns
  • 50g cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 50g carrots, grated
  • 2 tablespoons low-fat mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce (optional)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, and chopped green onions. Form the mixture into two patties.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  3. While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly in another skillet or in a toaster.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the low-fat mayonnaise with sriracha sauce to create a spicy spread.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by spreading the spicy mayonnaise on the bottom bun, adding the beef patty, and topping with cucumber slices and grated carrots.
  6. Finish with the top bun and serve immediately.
