Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Water - 100 milliliters
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Chicken broth (Halal) - 500 milliliters
  • Soy sauce (Halal) - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Ginger (minced) - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions (chopped) - 2 stalks
  • Carrot (sliced) - 1 small
  • Spinach - 100 grams
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, and water. Knead until a smooth dough forms, then cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  2. While the dough rests, prepare the broth. In a pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat, add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the chicken broth and soy sauce to the pot. Bring to a simmer and add sliced carrots. Cook for about 5 minutes until the carrots are tender.
  4. Roll out the rested dough on a floured surface to a thin sheet, then cut into thin strips to form noodles.
  5. Add the noodles to the simmering broth and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are tender.
  6. Stir in the spinach and chopped green onions, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Drizzle sesame oil and season with black pepper to taste before serving.
