Ingredients

  • Dried seaweed (wakame) - 15 grams
  • Soy sauce - 30 ml
  • Rice vinegar - 15 ml
  • Sesame oil - 10 ml
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Sugar - 5 grams
  • Chili oil - 5 ml (optional)
  • Sesame seeds - 5 grams
  • Scallions - 1, finely chopped

Steps

  1. Soak the dried seaweed in warm water for about 10 minutes until it rehydrates and expands, then drain and squeeze out excess water.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add the rehydrated seaweed to the bowl and mix well until the seaweed is coated with the marinade.
  4. If desired, add chili oil for a spicy kick and mix again.
  5. Let the seaweed marinate for at least 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  6. Before serving, sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped scallions on top for garnish.
