  • Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon

  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions (sliced) - 2 stalks
  • Bamboo skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, chili oil, Sichuan peppercorns, minced garlic, minced ginger, brown sugar, lime juice, and sesame oil to create the mala marinade.
  2. Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to soak up the flavors.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated shrimp onto the soaked bamboo skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer.
