- Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
- Coriander leaves - a handful (for garnish)
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1.5 cm thick slices.
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, chili oil, Sichuan peppercorns, minced garlic, grated ginger, brown sugar, and sesame oil to make the marinade.
- Add the tofu slices to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove tofu from the marinade and place the slices on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until grill marks appear and the tofu is heated through.
