Ingredients

  • Lychee fruit - 200 grams (fresh or canned, drained)
  • Agar-agar powder - 2 grams
  • Water - 300 ml
  • Sugar - 50 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. If using fresh lychee, peel and pit the fruit, then chop into small pieces.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine 300 ml of water and 2 grams of agar-agar powder, then stir well to dissolve the agar-agar.
  3. Add 50 grams of sugar to the mixture and bring it to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  4. Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
  5. Stir in 1 tablespoon of lemon juice for added flavor.
  6. In serving containers, place the chopped lychee pieces evenly at the bottom.
  7. Pour the agar-agar mixture over the lychee pieces, filling the containers.
  8. Allow the jelly to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully set.
  9. Serve chilled and enjoy your lychee jelly!
