- Daikon radish - 300 grams

- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Mushrooms (shiitake or button) - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Egg whites - 2 large
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- Grate the daikon radish and place it in a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and let it sit for 10-15 minutes to draw out excess moisture.
- After 15 minutes, squeeze the grated radish in a clean cloth to remove excess water. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine rice flour, tapioca starch, and water. Mix until smooth.
- Add the grated radish, chopped green onions, finely chopped mushrooms, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, and egg whites to the mixture. Stir until well combined.
- Prepare a steaming dish by lightly greasing it. Pour the mixture into the dish, smoothing the top.
- Place the dish in a steamer and steam for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cake is firm and cooked through.
- Remove from the steamer and let it cool slightly. Once cool, you can slice it into pieces.
- Optional: Pan-fry the slices in a little oil until golden brown on both sides before serving.
