Ingredients

  • Pork loin - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar-free sweetener (like erythritol) - 1 tablespoon
  • Five spice powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 teaspoon
  • Red food coloring (optional) - a few drops

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar-free sweetener, five spice powder, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and red food coloring if using, to create the marinade.
  3. Cut the pork loin into strips about 2.5 cm thick and place them in the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for better flavor.
  4. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the marinated pork strips on the rack.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until the pork is cooked through and has a caramelized glaze.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve hot.
