Ingredients
- Fresh crab - 2 whole (about 500g each)
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 inch piece, grated
- Soy sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Chili oil - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- Clean the crabs thoroughly under running water, removing the gills and any internal organs.
- In a mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, chili oil, honey, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the cleaned crabs in a large zip-lock bag or a bowl and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the crabs from the marinade and reserve the marinade for basting.
- Place the crabs on the grill, belly side down, and grill for 5-7 minutes. Flip them over and grill for another 5-7 minutes, basting occasionally with the reserved marinade.
- Once the crabs are cooked through and have a nice char, remove them from the grill.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
