Ingredients

  • Whole wheat pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Chicken breast, boneless and skinless - 200 grams
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Red bell pepper, sliced - 50 grams
  • Green bell pepper, sliced - 50 grams
  • Red onion, thinly sliced - 50 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 100 grams
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breast and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  4. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Spread a thin layer of olive oil on the dough, then sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over it.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the marinated chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Remove from heat and slice into thin strips.
  7. Arrange the sliced chicken, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and red onion over the cheese on the pizza dough.
  8. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and sprinkle chopped parsley on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.
