- Whole wheat pizza dough - 200 grams
- Chicken breast, boneless and skinless - 200 grams
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Red bell pepper, sliced - 50 grams
- Green bell pepper, sliced - 50 grams
- Red onion, thinly sliced - 50 grams
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 100 grams
- Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
- In a bowl, combine lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breast and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread a thin layer of olive oil on the dough, then sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over it.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the marinated chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Remove from heat and slice into thin strips.
- Arrange the sliced chicken, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and red onion over the cheese on the pizza dough.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and sprinkle chopped parsley on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve hot.
