Ingredients

  • Ground beef (80% lean) - 300 grams
  • Lao Gan Ma chili crisp - 2 tablespoons
  • Coconut flour - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Cucumber - 1/2, thinly sliced
  • Carrot - 1 small, shredded
  • Coriander leaves (cilantro) - a handful, for garnish

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, Lao Gan Ma chili crisp, coconut flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, pressing them firmly to ensure they hold together.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by rinsing the romaine leaves and patting them dry.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing each patty in a lettuce leaf and topping with sliced cucumber, shredded carrot, and a sprinkle of coriander leaves.
  6. Serve immediately, drizzling extra Lao Gan Ma chili crisp on top if desired.
