- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Five-spice powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden)
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, grated ginger, finely chopped green onion, chopped cilantro, cumin powder, coriander powder, five-spice powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until well combined, then cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- After marinating, divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion around a skewer to form long kofta shapes.
- Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the kofta are browned and cooked through.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, soy sauce, and lemon juice to create a dipping sauce.
- Serve the grilled kofta hot with the dipping sauce on the side.
