Ingredients
- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Green onions - 2, finely chopped
- Soy sauce (or coconut aminos) - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Red chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Sliced cucumber - 50 grams
- Sliced avocado - 50 grams
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, minced garlic, grated ginger, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, red chili flakes, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties of equal size.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil if necessary. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by washing and drying the romaine leaves.
- Once cooked, assemble the burgers by placing a patty on a lettuce leaf, topping it with sliced cucumber and avocado.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately.
