Ingredients

  • White fish fillets (e.g., cod or tilapia) - 300 grams
  • Ginger - 10 grams, julienned
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Spring onions - 2, chopped
  • Soy sauce (low sodium) - 30 ml
  • Sesame oil - 10 ml
  • Lemon juice - 15 ml
  • Red chili (fresh) - 1, sliced (optional)
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves - for garnishing

Steps

  1. Prepare a steamer or set up a pot with a steamer basket over boiling water.
  2. Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Place the fish fillets on a heatproof plate and evenly sprinkle the minced garlic, ginger, and sliced red chili if using over the fish.
