Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Cucumber - 1 medium, sliced
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, diced
  • Radishes - 4, thinly sliced
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Cilantro - 1/4 cup, chopped
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the firm tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
  2. In a non-stick skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add the cubed tofu and sauté until golden brown on all sides, about 10-12 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, chili oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, lime juice, salt, and black pepper to create a dressing.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the sliced cucumber, diced bell pepper, sliced radishes, chopped green onions, and cilantro.
  5. Once the tofu is cooked, add it to the vegetable mixture and pour the dressing over the top. Toss gently to combine.
  6. Serve immediately, or chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes for a refreshing salad.
