Ingredients

  • Ground pork - 250 grams
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce (or coconut aminos) - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Steamer basket - 1

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, almond flour, egg, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, chopped green onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Prepare a steamer by filling a pot with water and bringing it to a simmer. Line the steamer basket with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  3. Shape the pork mixture into small patties or thick discs and place them in the steamer basket, leaving space between each piece.
  4. Cover the steamer and steam the patties for about 15-20 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F).
  5. Remove from the steamer and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your Keto Siu Mai with a side of soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
