Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 1 cup
  • Psyllium husk powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Scallions - 1/4 cup, finely chopped
  • Ground pork or beef - 200 grams
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce (or coconut aminos) - 1 tablespoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Oil (for frying) - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, psyllium husk powder, salt, and water to form a dough. Knead the dough for about 2-3 minutes until it is smooth.
  2. Add finely chopped scallions into the dough, mixing well to distribute evenly.
  3. Divide the dough into two equal portions and flatten each into a round pancake shape, about 1/2 inch thick.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix ground pork or beef, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, egg, and black pepper until well combined.
  5. Shape the meat mixture into two burger patties.
  6. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  7. In the same skillet, add the remaining oil and place the scallion pancakes in the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
