Ingredients
- Firm tofu - 200 grams
- Ground pork - 150 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Doubanjiang (spicy bean paste) - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large leaves (for wrapping)
- Coconut aminos - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Pork rinds - 30 grams, crushed (for binding)
Steps
- Press the firm tofu to remove excess moisture, then crumble it into small pieces.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground pork and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the crumbled tofu, doubanjiang, soy sauce, sesame oil, coconut aminos, black pepper, and salt. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Stir in the beaten egg and crushed pork rinds to help bind the mixture together.
- Form the mixture into two burger patties.
- In the same skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve the patties wrapped in lettuce leaves, topped with chopped green onions.
