- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Ground pork - 100 grams

- Doubanjiang (spicy bean paste) - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Chicken broth - 100 ml
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Cornstarch - 1 teaspoon (optional for thickening)
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Start by pressing the firm tofu to remove excess water. Cut it into 1-inch cubes.
- In a pan over medium heat, add the ground pork and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Add minced garlic and ginger to the pan, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the doubanjiang and soy sauce, mixing well with the pork.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Carefully add the tofu cubes to the pan, gently stirring to coat the tofu with the sauce.
- Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- If desired, mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry and stir it into the pan to thicken the sauce.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
