Ingredients

  • Pork ribs - 500 grams
  • Soy sauce - 60 ml
  • Rice vinegar - 30 ml
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Swerve sweetener - 2 tablespoons
  • Five spice powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon (optional)
  • Green onions - 2, chopped for garnish
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat your grill or oven to 150°C (300°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, Swerve sweetener, five spice powder, and chili flakes to create the marinade.
  3. Place the pork ribs in a large resealable bag or dish and pour the marinade over them, making sure they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  4. Remove the ribs from the marinade and let them come to room temperature for about 20 minutes.
  5. Grill the ribs for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, turning occasionally, until they are tender and caramelized. If using an oven, bake for the same time covered with foil, then uncover for the last 15 minutes to crisp up.
  6. Once cooked, remove the ribs from the grill or oven and let them rest for 10 minutes.
  7. Slice the ribs and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
