Ingredients
- Pork ribs - 500 grams
- Soy sauce - 60 ml
- Rice vinegar - 30 ml
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Swerve sweetener - 2 tablespoons
- Five spice powder - 1 teaspoon
- Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon (optional)
- Green onions - 2, chopped for garnish
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon for garnish
Steps
- Preheat your grill or oven to 150°C (300°F).
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, Swerve sweetener, five spice powder, and chili flakes to create the marinade.
- Place the pork ribs in a large resealable bag or dish and pour the marinade over them, making sure they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Remove the ribs from the marinade and let them come to room temperature for about 20 minutes.
- Grill the ribs for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, turning occasionally, until they are tender and caramelized. If using an oven, bake for the same time covered with foil, then uncover for the last 15 minutes to crisp up.
- Once cooked, remove the ribs from the grill or oven and let them rest for 10 minutes.
- Slice the ribs and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
