Ingredients

  • Pork tenderloin - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce (or coconut aminos) - 3 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce (or sugar-free alternative) - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Erythritol (or another keto sweetener) - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
  • Five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red food coloring (optional) - a few drops
  • Spring onions (for garnish) - 1-2 stalks

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, erythritol, minced garlic, grated ginger, five-spice powder, black pepper, and red food coloring (if using). Mix well to create the marinade.
  2. Place the pork tenderloin into a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the meat, ensuring it is well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2-4 hours for deeper flavor.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
  4. Remove the pork from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off. Reserve the marinade for basting.
  5. Place the pork on the wire rack and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, basting with the reserved marinade every 10 minutes.
  6. After 30 minutes, switch the oven to broil and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the pork is caramelized and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 70°C (160°F).
  7. Remove from the oven and let the pork rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  8. Serve garnished with chopped spring onions.
