- Dumpling wrappers - 20 pieces
- Ground chicken - 200 grams
- Green onions - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Shiitake mushrooms - 50 grams, finely chopped
- Carrot - 1 small, grated
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Soy sauce (kosher) - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a bowl, combine ground chicken, green onions, shiitake mushrooms, carrot, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Take a dumpling wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it over the filling, and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
- Repeat the process until all filling is used, placing the finished dumplings on a plate.
- Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, arrange the dumplings in the skillet, flat side down, and cook for about 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
- Carefully add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet, cover immediately with a lid, and let steam for about 5-7 minutes until the water has evaporated.
- Remove the lid and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the bottom is crispy again. Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
