Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Water - 100 milliliters
  • Ground beef or lamb (Halal) - 150 grams
  • Green onions - 3 stalks, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and water to form a dough. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth, then cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix the ground meat, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Divide the rested dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a thin circle (about 15 cm in diameter).
  4. Place a generous spoonful of the meat mixture in the center of each dough circle. Fold the edges over to form a semi-circle and pinch to seal tightly.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little vegetable oil. Place the filled jiaozi bing in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Once cooked, remove from the skillet and let them cool slightly before serving. Slice in half to reveal the filling and enjoy!
