Ingredients
- All-purpose flour - 200 grams
- Water - 100 milliliters
- Ground beef or lamb (Halal) - 150 grams
- Green onions - 3 stalks, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - for frying
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and water to form a dough. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth, then cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix the ground meat, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Divide the rested dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a thin circle (about 15 cm in diameter).
- Place a generous spoonful of the meat mixture in the center of each dough circle. Fold the edges over to form a semi-circle and pinch to seal tightly.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little vegetable oil. Place the filled jiaozi bing in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, remove from the skillet and let them cool slightly before serving. Slice in half to reveal the filling and enjoy!
