Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1.5 cm thick slices.
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey or maple syrup, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and chili flakes to create the marinade.
- Place the tofu slices in the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Grill the marinated tofu slices for about 5-7 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and have grill marks.
- Remove from the grill, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
