  • Olive oil - 10 milliliters
  • Ground lamb - 150 grams
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Bell pepper - 1/2, sliced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Fresh cilantro - a handful, chopped

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  4. While the dough is rising, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground lamb, onion, and garlic, cooking until the lamb is browned. Stir in cumin and black pepper, then remove from heat.
  5. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into two equal portions. Roll each portion into a circle, about 1/2 cm thick.
  7. Place the rolled dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread the lamb mixture evenly over each pizza base.
  8. Top each pizza with sliced bell pepper, tomato, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  10. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh cilantro, slice, and serve hot.
