- Red chili peppers (sliced) - 2
- Bell pepper (sliced) - 1 medium
- Green onion (chopped) - 2 stalks
- Hunan chili paste - 1 tablespoon
- Chicken broth - 100 ml
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the white fish fillet with soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated fish and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown, then remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, and sliced red chili peppers. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell pepper and green onion to the pan and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Stir in the Hunan chili paste, chicken broth, and sugar. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Return the cooked fish to the pan, gently coating it in the sauce. Drizzle with sesame oil and cook for an additional minute.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra green onions if desired.
