  • Chili paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Ground black pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped (for garnish)
  • Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili paste, minced garlic, minced ginger, honey, sesame oil, ground black pepper, and cayenne pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice char marks.
  6. Remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes.
