- Hunan chili paste - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Egg - 1, beaten
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large leaves
- Cucumber - 100 grams, thinly sliced
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, minced garlic, minced ginger, Hunan chili paste, soy sauce, beaten egg, chopped green onions, and season with salt and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- Form the mixture into two patties, about 2 cm thick.
- Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves and cucumber slices for the burger wraps.
- Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
- To assemble, place a chicken patty on each lettuce leaf, top with cucumber slices, and drizzle with additional Hunan chili paste if desired. Wrap the lettuce around the filling like a burger.
