Ingredients

  • Ground chicken - 300 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Hunan chili paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large leaves
  • Cucumber - 100 grams, thinly sliced
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, minced garlic, minced ginger, Hunan chili paste, soy sauce, beaten egg, chopped green onions, and season with salt and pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two patties, about 2 cm thick.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves and cucumber slices for the burger wraps.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
  6. To assemble, place a chicken patty on each lettuce leaf, top with cucumber slices, and drizzle with additional Hunan chili paste if desired. Wrap the lettuce around the filling like a burger.
