- Jasmine rice - 150 grams
- Water - 300 ml
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
- Red bell pepper - 1 medium, diced
- Carrot - 1 medium, diced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Hunan chili sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste

- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)
Steps
- Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then combine with 300 ml of water in a pot and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the water is absorbed and the rice is fluffy.
- While the rice is cooking, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add diced red bell pepper and carrot to the skillet, cooking for 5-7 minutes until tender.
- Stir in the cooked rice, Hunan chili sauce, gluten-free soy sauce, salt, and pepper, mixing well to combine all ingredients.
- Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
