Ingredients

  • whole wheat pizza dough - 200 grams
  • lean beef sirloin - 150 grams, thinly sliced
  • bell pepper (red or green) - 1 medium, sliced
  • onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Hunan chili paste - 2 tablespoons
  • soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • low-fat mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • black pepper - to taste
  • sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with soy sauce, Hunan chili paste, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  3. While the beef is marinating, roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  4. Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, then add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Remove the beef from the pan and add the sliced bell pepper, onion, and carrot. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.
  7. Spread the cooked beef evenly over the pizza dough, then layer the stir-fried vegetables on top.
  8. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the pizza.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired, then slice and serve hot.
