Ingredients
- Firm Tofu - 300 grams
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
- Red Chili Paste - 2 tablespoons
- Soy Sauce (Gluten-Free) - 2 tablespoons
- Rice Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Coriander Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame Oil - 1 teaspoon
- Green Onions - 2, chopped
- Sesame Seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess water, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
- In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat and add the tofu cubes, frying until golden brown on all sides (about 10 minutes). Remove tofu and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the red chili paste, soy sauce, rice vinegar, coriander powder, and cumin powder, cooking for another 2 minutes to blend the flavors.
- Add the crispy tofu back into the skillet, tossing to coat in the spicy sauce. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Drizzle sesame oil over the tofu and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
