Ingredients

  • Firm Tofu - 300 grams
  • Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, minced
  • Red Chili Paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy Sauce (Gluten-Free) - 2 tablespoons
  • Rice Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame Oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green Onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame Seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess water, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat and add the tofu cubes, frying until golden brown on all sides (about 10 minutes). Remove tofu and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the red chili paste, soy sauce, rice vinegar, coriander powder, and cumin powder, cooking for another 2 minutes to blend the flavors.
  5. Add the crispy tofu back into the skillet, tossing to coat in the spicy sauce. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  6. Drizzle sesame oil over the tofu and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
