Ingredients

  • Salmon fillets - 2 x 150g
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, freshly grated
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (optional)

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and lemon juice to create the marinade.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a zip-lock bag or shallow dish, and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the salmon from the marinade, reserving the marinade for later use.
  5. Grill the salmon for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it flakes easily with a fork. Brush the reserved marinade on the salmon while grilling for added flavor.
  6. Once cooked, remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a minute.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
