- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green onions (sliced) - for garnish
- Sesame seeds - for garnish
Steps
- Press the firm tofu between paper towels or a clean kitchen towel for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Cut the pressed tofu into 1.5 cm thick slices and place them in the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat the grill or a grill pan over medium heat.
- Once hot, place the marinated tofu slices on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until grill marks appear and the tofu is heated through.
- Remove from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
- Serve the grilled tofu garnished with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
