  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Clean the button mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems if desired.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
  3. Add the cleaned mushrooms to the marinade and toss well to coat. Let them marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated mushrooms along with all the marinade.
  5. Cook the mushrooms for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until they are tender and the sauce has thickened.
