Ingredients

  • Whole wheat pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Duck breast - 150 grams
  • Hoisin sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 100 grams
  • Red bell pepper, thinly sliced - 1/2
  • Green onions, chopped - 2
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic, minced - 1 clove
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix the hoisin sauce with minced garlic and black pepper. Set aside.
  3. Score the skin of the duck breast in a crosshatch pattern and season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the duck breast skin-side down. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, rendering the fat until the skin is crispy.
  5. Flip the duck breast and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 65°C (149°F). Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.
  6. Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.
  7. Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Spread the hoisin-garlic mixture evenly over the pizza dough.
  9. Top with sliced duck breast, red bell pepper, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Remove the pizza from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions and fresh cilantro.
  12. Drizzle with sesame oil before slicing and serving.
