- Duck breast - 250 grams
- Hoisin sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Flatbread (store-bought or homemade) - 2 pieces
- Red bell pepper - 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Cucumber - 1 small, julienned
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Score the skin of the duck breast in a crosshatch pattern, being careful not to cut into the meat.
- Season the duck breast with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a skillet over medium heat, place the duck breast skin-side down and cook for about 6-8 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden brown. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
- Remove the duck from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly.
- In the same skillet, add the hoisin sauce and sesame oil, heating gently until warm.
- Spread the hoisin sauce mixture evenly over the flatbreads.
- Top each flatbread with sliced duck, red bell pepper, cucumber, green onions, and cilantro.
- Place the topped flatbreads on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes until the edges are crispy.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
