Ingredients

  • Pizza Dough - 250 grams
  • Tofu (firm) - 200 grams
  • Ground Halal Beef - 100 grams
  • Sichuan Peppercorns - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Ginger (minced) - 1 teaspoon
  • Doubanjiang (spicy bean paste) - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy Sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame Oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Mozzarella Cheese (shredded) - 150 grams
  • Spring Onions (sliced) - 2 tablespoons
  • Red Chili Flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic, ginger, and Sichuan peppercorns. Stir-fry for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground Halal beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  4. Once the beef is browned, add the Doubanjiang, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Crumble the firm tofu into the beef mixture, gently mixing to coat the tofu with the sauce. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
  6. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape, then place it on a pizza stone or baking tray.
  7. Spread the beef and tofu mixture evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  8. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top of the tofu mixture.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven, garnish with sliced spring onions and red chili flakes, and let cool for a couple of minutes before slicing.
