Ingredients
- Hakka noodles - 200 grams
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 inch, minced
- Onion - 1 medium, sliced
- Capsicum (bell pepper) - 1 medium, julienned
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Cabbage - 100 grams, shredded
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Chili sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Boil water in a large pot, add a pinch of salt, and cook the Hakka noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.
- In a large wok or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced onion to the pan and stir-fry for 2 minutes until it becomes translucent.
- Add the julienned capsicum, carrot, and shredded cabbage to the pan. Stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.
- Add the cooked Hakka noodles to the pan along with the soy sauce, chili sauce, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together gently to combine and heat through for about 2-3 minutes.
- Finally, stir in the chopped green onions and drizzle with lemon juice. Give it a final toss and serve hot.
