Ingredients
- Ground pork - 300 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Spring onions - 2, finely chopped
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Red chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large (for wrapping)
- Cucumber - 1 small, sliced thinly
- Fresh cilantro - a handful, chopped
- Sriracha sauce - to taste (optional)
Steps
- In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped spring onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, red chili flakes, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Form the mixture into two patties, making them about 2 cm thick.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil if needed. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice brown crust.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by rinsing the leaves and patting them dry. Arrange the lettuce leaves on a plate.
- Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by placing each patty in a lettuce leaf. Top with cucumber slices and chopped cilantro. Drizzle with Sriracha sauce if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your low-carb Hakka Meat Burger!
