Ingredients
- pork tenderloin - 300 grams
- soy sauce (gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
- honey - 1 tablespoon
- five-spice powder - 1 teaspoon
- garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
- rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- green onions (chopped) - 2 stalks
- black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- Slice the pork tenderloin into thin strips, about 1 cm thick.
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, five-spice powder, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the pork strips to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours for a deeper flavor.
- Preheat your grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the pork from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Reserve the marinade for basting.
- Grill the pork strips for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
- During the last minute of grilling, baste the pork with the reserved marinade to add extra flavor.
- Once cooked, remove the pork from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into bite-sized pieces.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
