- Pork tenderloin (or Halal beef) - 250 grams
- Cornstarch - 100 grams
- All-purpose flour - 50 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Water - 100 ml
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Vegetable oil - for baking (about 1 tablespoon)
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Slice the pork tenderloin into thin strips and marinate with soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, garlic, ginger, and black pepper for at least 15 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix cornstarch and all-purpose flour together.
- In another bowl, beat the egg and add water to create a batter.
- Coat each marinated meat strip in the flour mixture, then dip it into the batter, allowing excess to drip off.
- Arrange the coated strips on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Drizzle the vegetable oil over the meat strips to promote crispiness.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through until golden brown.
- Once done, remove from the oven and sprinkle with sesame oil and chopped green onions before serving.
