- Spinach (chopped) - 50 grams
- Scallions (finely chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour, tapioca flour, salt, and water to create a smooth batter.
- Let the batter rest for 10 minutes.
- Prepare a steamer and line the steaming tray with parchment paper.
- Pour a thin layer of the batter into the prepared tray, enough to cover the base completely.
- Sprinkle shrimp, carrot, spinach, and scallions evenly over the batter.
- Steam for 5-7 minutes or until the rice roll is set and translucent.
- Remove from steamer and carefully roll the rice roll from one end to the other.
- Repeat the process for the remaining batter and filling.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce and sesame oil for dipping.
- Serve the steamed rice rolls warm with the dipping sauce.
