Ingredients

  • Rice noodles - 200 grams
  • Ground pork - 200 grams
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Cucumber, thinly sliced - 1/2 medium
  • Sriracha sauce - to taste

Steps

  1. Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions, then drain and rinse with cold water. Set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
  3. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and browned.
  5. While the patties are cooking, take half of the cooked rice noodles and shape them into round 'buns' by pressing them into a mold or using a ring shape. Fry these noodle patties in the same skillet for about 2-3 minutes on each side until crispy.
  6. To assemble the burgers, place one crispy noodle patty on a plate, add a cooked pork patty, top with cucumber slices, and drizzle with Sriracha sauce. Finish with a lettuce leaf and another noodle patty on top.
  7. Repeat the assembly for the second burger.
