Ingredients
- Chicken thighs - 400 grams, boneless and skinless
- Honey - 3 tablespoons
- Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 2 tablespoons
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped for garnish
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine honey, gluten-free soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade. Mix well to ensure all pieces are coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat your grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat. If using a grill, lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Reserve the marinade for basting.
- Grill the chicken pieces for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with the reserved marinade for extra flavor.
- Once cooked through and slightly charred, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
- Serve the honey chicken hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
